Julia's Orange Tip Butterfly Resin Earrings -- Anthocharis julia
A wonderful spot of color in spring, this is one of the earlier butterflies to be found at low elevations before the blues begin to fly and heralds the beginning of butterfly season.
There are multiple species of Orange Tips in the Pacific Northwest, with research recently published by regional butterfly expert Todd Stout of www.raisingbutterflies.org putting the Blue Mountain species we collect as Julia's Orange Tip. Before, all were classified as "Sara's Orange Tip."
